Edited Image 3.

This is one of my more harder edits as there was a lot to do for it, there was the preparing of the bomb image and the image of the person, I then did a retro colour scheme over the whole image to make it look an old poster from the 60’s.

1. Open the images you want to use. Got to File-Open.

2.Go to Eraser tool, you can change the size of the eraser by right clicking on the image you want to edit once you have the eraser tool selected. Then you need to zoom in on the image to delete all the back ground, do this by going to View-Zoom in. Then erase around the edge of the Bomb. For the person click the Eraser Tool then right click it you will then get 3 options click on Magic Eraser Tool, then click on the white background and it will take it all away leaving only the person left.

3.Next I needed to colour out the stand that the bomb is in, so I go to the Eye Dropper tool and click on the yellow of the bombs nose. Then I go to the Brush Tool and colour out the stand. The blend all of the colour together I then went to the Blur Tool (looks like a water droplet) right clicked it and went to Smudge. I then smudged the colour together.

4.Now I want to erase the left arm of the subject as that won’t be seen because if she really was hugging a bomb it would be behind the bomb and out of view. I go to the Erase Tool and just erase the left arm.

5.Now I need to remove the right arm so that I can place it over the top of the bomb once the bomb is in place. I got to the Rectangular Marquee tool and select the arm, one I have done that I go to the Move Tool and move the arm out of the way. Once that is Done I create a new layer and copy and past the arm in to the new layer and make sure that layer is above the bomb one. I then eraser the arm on the other layer. Then to move the bomb on to the person layer I again select the Rectangular Marquee tool highlight all of the bomb and then select the Move Tool and drag the bomb over to the person image. Before moving the bomb I had to turn in around so the nose was at the top, I did this by highlighting all of the bomb and the clicking Image-Image Rotation-Flip Vertical. I then move the arm back over the top of the bomb.

6.I then added a colour to the back ground of the image, to do this I went to the Colour Pallet at the bottom right of the screen and found a colour that I liked. I created a new layer and placed it at the bottom of all the other layers. Then with the Brush Tool I coloured the new layer.

7.Its now time to add the Retro colour effect. Open up the photograph and Duplicate The Layer by right clicking the background layer and selecting Duplicate Layer. (Make sure to use the copy layer)

8.Using the Rectangular Marquee Tool, drag and select half the image.

9.Select the red color from the Color Swatch. Now, fill the selection with the red with the shortcut ctrl+backspace.

10.Now, inverse this selection. This would select the other half of the image.
Select-Inverse.

11.Fill the other selection with a green color.

12.Hide the duplicate Background Copy layer by clicking on the Eye Icon. Click on the Background Layer. Then, click on Match Color in the menu bar.
Image-Adjustments-Match Color.

13.Start with Fade and increase the levels, until the green and red patches blend in with the photo. Next, decrease the color intensity until you’re happy with the result. You don’t need to do anything with Luminance, unless you want to decrease or increase the brightness.

14.Once done I added Text by going to the T at the right of the screen. I played with the Warp Setting until happy.

Final Image.
