This is my final image, first I had to make the explosion to put on the image and I am going to show how I made that first.
1.Start off with a new image of your size with a black background. Create a new layer. Create dots with the Airbrush, use a 100px brush.
2.Now do some work with the smudge tool. Drag the Smudge Tool from out to in and in to out to get a nice effect.
4.Now to add more depth, start off by using different brushes. Use the grungy brushes and make sparkles coming out of the explosion. Do some more smudging, add more brushing.
5.Use the Burn Tool, Now go over your white boring explosion and brush... Release your mouse button and brush over it to create some dark parts and some lighter.
6.Duplicate your layer and set it to hard light. Then go Image - Adjustments - Colour Balance. Set the
color until happy and like in my image below.
7.Duplicate that layer you just made, and set it to Color Burn, again go to Image - Adjustments - Colour Balance Change using the setting below.
8. I then changed the Opacity level until happy.
10.Open the images you want to use. Got to File-Open.
11.With both the Magic Eraser Tool and just the Eraser Tool I deleted all of the background on the person image, I used the Zoom tool to get in close to detailed areas.
12.Next I need to highlight the person so I went to the Rectangular Marquee tool, I then selected around the person, once that was done I went to the Move Tool and dragged the person on to the background layer this created a new layer.
13.I now need to angle the person and resize them to make it look like they have been blown back in a blast. We go to Edit-Free Transform and a box will come around the person, you then use that to re-size them to the size that you want and angle them.
14.Next I need to highlight the blast so I went to the Rectangular Marquee tool, I then selected around the blast, once that was done I went to the Move Tool and dragged the blast on to the background layer this created a new layer.
